Take a look at the black top of the headboard and the medium tone of the walnut finish of the body. It is so timeless and functional. This headboard can be fit into a wide variety of styles. The 2 little drawers provide storage for some necessities. This beautiful MCM headboard is part of one of the 2 estates I just got from the original owners. It was bought shortly after the couple got married and it was well taken care of. Only minor wear and tear is visible. This beautiful piece is another great example of the design inspiration of Merton L. Gershun.

Each side of the bed has the original twist-in tapered legs that can be used to stabilize the headboard. If you choose to secure the headboard to a wall or frame, the legs are not necessary and can be removed to create an eye-pleasing, floating appearance.
