A lovely Chinese export porcelain shard box with beautiful wood trim. Nicely-curated piece of famille rose porcelain with wonderful colors and Patina. Generously-sized and frames in a simple
Dark-stained wood.
These lovely shard boxes were made to salvage the many pieces of Chinese porcelain that were destroyed during the cultural revolution of the early 1900’s. We have several other boxes listed.
Inside is the little note that came with the box when I purchased it from a local antique shop many years ago.
