Rare hand painted Capodimonte porcellane (sic. porcelain) effigy of an old world Italian Royal Court Jester "Arlecchino" wearing a harlequin … Read more Rare hand painted Capodimonte porcellane (sic. porcelain) effigy of an old world Italian Royal Court Jester "Arlecchino" wearing a harlequin costume and black carnival mask. The figurine's suit is hand-painted in yellow, red, cream and blue. Stamped on the underside is the makers marked signature that starts with the display of 89 a cursive N with a 5 point crown at its' crest, (below that in stylized font lettering) LA n. MEDEA (further in a stylized cursive logo) Made by Rori (beneath that is an all cap block letter style font shown in a rounded underscore shape) PORCELLANE CAPODIMONTE (beneath of that in all capped font that displays as a horizontal straight line (MADE IN ITALY) There is a cursive mark that appears to be a hand drawn capital “D” that is separate from the detailed signature which is stamped. The meaning of that mark is unknown. There is also a gold colored imprinted signature that is shown on top of the base in front of the right foot of the model that replicates the stylized signature portion that reads "Rori" See less
