A remarkable pair of very substantial and fine Famille Rose porcelain vases in the delightful and rare “Hundred Antiques” (Bo gu) Pattern depicting precious objects and porcelain vessels, sacred items, scholarly effects, flowers, bats and auspicious symbols. This pattern originated during the Ming Dynasty, and found new iterations through the centuries following. These vases are a very delicately painted and gilded evolution of the pattern, with nice bands of colorful decoration at the tops and bases. Hand painted marks in underglaze red on the bottom, late Qing Dynasty, ca. late 19th century, (Guangxu Period 1875-1908.) Good antique condition with no chips, no cracks, light rubbing to the glazes and light scattered surface abrasions.
