This type of piece simulates Vauxhall glass and is often referenced as French jet (which is actually black glass). Could have been worn for mourning during the late 1800s but was also a fashionable style during the era. Fastens with a C clasp. Unmarked. Measures a 3" long and 2 1/8" wide. It is in excellent condition overall for a piece of this age with very little wear to the black enamel. See less
