Authentic Max Le Verrier Art Deco ram bookends made in France in 1930.
These rare Art Deco bookends are sculpted in a dynamic Cubist style with sharp facets and geometric angles. Each bookend is identical, cast in verdigris bronze patinated metal on beautiful black marble bases. The base of each sculpture is inscribed by the artist "M. Le Verrier" with "FRANCE".
Each measure approximately 7" tall by 5.5" across by 2.5" deep, and weigh 3.3 lbs. apiece.
They're in very good condition with no cracks, breaks or damage and just have some minor age-appropriate finish wear.
A highly desirable and spectacular pair of Art Deco bookends signed by one of the most influential Art Deco sculptors of the early 20th century. Make them yours.
