This handsome terra cotta confit pot, made in France in the 19th century, has a mustard-hued glazed interior and undecorated exterior. Pre-refrigeration, confit jars extended the life of perishable items acting as cooking pots and storage jars. These wonderfully formed vessels make beautiful decorative items to style a kitchen, fill a bookcase, or can be used to hold fresh and dried floral arrangements.
