Dimensions: 8 ½” H x 5 ½” W x 5 ½” D
Italian faience 18th century apothecary/pharmacy jar. The practice of healthcare and medicine may have changed considerably since the 18th century, but this gorgeous vessel has enduring function and appeal. The gourd-shaped jar/vase is hand-painted with inky blue foliate motifs similar to Delft and Chinoiserie patterns that would have been popular in the time. Now it could easily be repurposed for kitchen utensils, flowers or to appreciate as shelf décor. Please view the detailed images for the current condition.
