Morris Hall Pancoast (1877-1963) "Walker Hancock Working on Philadelphia War Memorial" pencil signed and titled.
Sculptor Walter Kirkland Hancock (1901-1998) created the Pennsylvania Railroad World War II Memorial at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia from 1950-1952. The memorial is dedicated to the 1,307 employees of the Pennsylvania Railroad employees who died in WWII. The central section features the bronze "Angel of the Resurrection" depicting the Michael the Archangel lifting a dead soldier. The lithograph depicts Hancock working on the model for the sculpture.
