Howard Whitford Willard (1894-1960) "The Accordionist," musical lithograph on paper, dedicated to artist Eugene Fritsch, and numbered 15 of 100. Circa 1931.
Willard is best known as a woodblock artist and lithographer. In his commercial career, he created many book jackets for a variety of artist including Edna Ferber (1885-1968), Christopher Morley (1890-1957) and poet Elizabeth Morrow (1873-1955). Later he worked as an illustrator for Reader's Digest.
