Hand signed in pencil on … Read more A retro op art silkscreen print on paper titled "Procession" by Michigan artist Max Shaye. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right with an annotation of 33/39 on the bottom left and titled mid bottom bottom. Circa late 1970s to early 1980s. Biomorphic shapes in green are highlighted by blocks of warm-toned colors. This series was created in the artist’s studio in Franklin, Michigan. Max Shaye (1911-2004) was a native of New York and received his formal art education at the Art College of the Center for Creative Studies, Detroit. He had several one-man shows and Shaye’s paintings are in in over 2500 public and private collections including including the Pentagon and the White House. From a private collection.
