A contemporary mixed-media lithography with acrylic painting on paper titled "Liberty Head II on Blends" by famed artist Peter Max. Hand signed in acrylic by artist bottom right. Circa early 2000s. Honoring the country that Peter Max loves and immigrated to as a teenager; Peter Max first painted Lady Liberty in 1976 to celebrate America's Bicentennial. His love affair with Lady Liberty has continued in the decades since; as he has continued to paint her in different forms and for many events and commissions. From a private collection, originally purchased from Global Fine Art. Gallery tag on verso. Dimensions: 21.25"h x 19.25"w x 1.25"d. In very good vintage condition.
Peter Max is a German-American artist known for using bright colors in his work. His works are associated with the visual arts and culture of the 1960s, particularly psychedelic art and pop art. He has had countless commissions and exhibitions throughout his artistic career and his work has been described as the landscape of the 1960s and 1970s.
