This particular one was made by H.J Wood pottery of Burslem, England. The particular maker's mark was of H.J. Wood, used between 1891 and the 1920s. The breathtakingly intricate design is done by hand - with gold and a variety of teal and brown raised designs. I originally thought it was an excellent reproduction of British colonial- indian era Brown Betty styles. Turns out its not. As in, not a reproduction. Hit the pictures, my words are nothing compared to the reality, but I tried my best on the pictures. See less

These elements are part of the design. I would add that im unsure if there's lead in the glaze. less
