Venini Historic Murano Venice Glass Company was established originally in 1921 by two partners Giacomo Cappellin who was an antique Venetian dealer and lawyer Paolo Venini. The collection began with simple blown glass classic and baroque designs to then evolved to more elaborated pieces thanks to the partnership with designers such as Carlo Scarpa Ettore Sottsass and Gio Ponti, forward-thinkers architects and designers who contributed to elevating the company to a leading role uphold even today, a century from its foundation. The owner himself Paolo Venini designed many different products. Venini History is a story of excellence and innovation but also a ‘family’ story, growing around the famous ‘furnace’ kiln, where craftsmanship blended with dreams to forge timeless and successful designs which are still produced today from the same little island of Murano.
