They are the works … Read more This is a RARE set of 4 antique French architectural interior designs that date to c1860s. They are the works of Cesar Daly, a renown French architect ( 1811-1894) who was an architect, publisher and writer who influenced generations of future architects worldwide. These 4 lithographs are designs for villas/hotels in Paris in the XIX century. They are from a portfolio called "l"Architecture Privee au XIX Siecle. Each features a salon with a center fireplace on a wall surrounded by windows, wall panels, mirrors etc. Note the classical references and the intricacies and detailings. Horizontal format. Each measures 17.5 x 12.25 inches in size. Done in cream tones. Borders are clean. Each is in excellent antique condition. Lithograph imprints are evident.
