I inserted the word style, only becuase they arrived as a set of 4 matching Mies van der Rohe Brno Chairs, but we noticed very slight differences and there were no tags under the seats, So, we currently have 2 near pairs of Mies van der Rohe Brno Flat Bar Armchairs without arm pads which were optional when new and both are upholstered in black (rather tired) leather. One pairs is absolutely authentic and the other pair are a mystery to us. Originally they were designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich in 1929-1930 for his famous Tugendhat House in Brno, Czech Republic. Our client had received these chairs from a friend back in the 1970’s and they were well used then. We’d guess that the Mies van der Rohe Armchairs were probably made in the late 1960’s. The Mies van der Rohe Chairs have since become a true icon of 20th century design and blend with almost any style of decor.
