The vase features a twisted optic-rib pattern, which gives the surface a light-catching shimmer that accentuates the deep cobalt tone. The vase is a beautiful example of 20th Century American studio glass with the movement and color typical of 1980s glassblowing and is one of Pennebaker’s earlier signed works.
