The fragrance was launched in 1947 shortly after Dior’s “New Look” collection was showcased. The Miss Dior fragrance was Dior’s first perfume. The advertisement print was created by Rene Gruau, a highly collectible French illustrator who is recognized internationally for his highly stylized fashion illustration and advertising art. The print is signed by Gruau with his iconic signature initial. This print is a prime example of the French propensity for style and flair in mid-century advertising art. It was originally published in a 1985 French periodical. It is NOT a recent reproduction print.
