A breathtaking and rare antique silver coffee pot by Samuel Kirk dating from the 1830's. This is 11/12 silver, this standard of silver is 917/1000, which is higher than coin (900) but lower than sterling (925). Incredibly detailed repousse design in Chinese style showing an intricate design of birds, butterflies, figural garden workers, and village houses. The finial at the hinged lid shows a little figure with a hat on. Measures 12 1/2" tall x 10 1/2" x 6" and weighs a heavy 1336 grams total. It is in excellent condition, no dents or dings, but does have a monogram at one center crest reading "Ellen Ker". Hallmarks at base. A beautifully crafted and unique silver collectible.
