These fun, colorful prints are from a book of Herbs from 1462 – yes, the middle ages!
The 'Book of Herbs' is one of the first studies of Botanical Herbs, originally published in Germany. Interestingly, the simplified, unique style suggests the artist was focused on aesthetic details more than scientific details.
