Our commode, which dates to circa 1900, has a beautifully bookmatched flame walnut veneer with a charcoal colored marble top. The overhanging top has a recessed carving on the edges, adding a subtle embellishment to the dark gray stone that has light gray, black, and white veining. Beneath the marble is an ogee-shaped belt drawer with quarter-round molding above three drawers. All four drawers have identical circular key plates, while the lower three have a pair of round pulls. A thick apron finishes the commode above four blocked feet, with the front two being lightly shaped. Our bookmatched Louis Philippe commode would make a wonderful addition to any household. See less
