A fine 18th century French Louis XV Period marquetry commode with serpentine front, curved sides and slender cabriole legs. Made of veneers of cherry, mahogany and walnut. Two dovetailed drawers with old paper lined interiors, cast bronze hardware, locks but no key. Beautiful 1.5" thick blue Turquin marble top with white vein. Retaining a good French polish finish. Good craftsmanship with dovetailed joints. Excellent condition with minor veneer missing on the bottom edge. An elegant chest with great proportions. All original. Circa 1760 -1770
