Thalia Lincoln was an … Read more This series of four Botanical Prints are original photolithographic prints on paper by artist Thalia Lincoln. Thalia Lincoln was an artist from Cape Town South Africa, which is the place where she obtained her specimens for drawing her botanical works on paper. She won numerous art awards for her unique botanical drawings and was one of the highest demand botanical artists using native African flora. Developing a painstaking technique of placing layer upon layer of dry colored pencil, her work is an incredible intensity of color and meticulous detail in each of these prints. Though the prints do not come with provenance or authentication certificate, each are signed by the artist, Thalia Lincoln, and have been in my possession since 1974 when I purchased them from an art gallery in Pennsylvania. Each framed print has the flower's Latin botanical genus and species titled on the bottom center, along with the artist signature and date. They are stunning representation of botanical art. See less
