Offered is a set of 2 hand carved wood pieces made in Haiti in the 1960s by David Auld. One is an oblong canoe shaped tray, perfect as a trinket dish for change, jewelry, keys, or dry snacks. The other is a lighter wood, possibly Taverneau, and is shaped like a gourd or pepper.
David Auld, an American artist, settled in Haiti in the 1960’s where he began his woodcarving business with unique designs and high-quality craftsmanship.
