Earlier in their history, these decanters probably had applied color and gold throughout, which has been lost to time. These pieces are mass production of a bygone era, the stoppers are imperfectly formed and do not sit neatly in the neck without a small shim. See less

There are traces of paint residue and dust or mineral deposit in the interiors, most probably due to being used as a vase. There are no overt signs of repairs or damage, however, the stoppers are unevenly formed and one sits askew in the bottle neck. A small shim must be used to correct the orientation.
