This Bohemian early 20th Century vase is a fine quality, elegant frosted art glass vase with a field of roses … Read more This Bohemian early 20th Century vase is a fine quality, elegant frosted art glass vase with a field of roses motif, a design of famed Czechoslovakian glass master Josef Inwald. This glassware is known both as Inwald for the designer's name and his factory and as Barolac, a name that was registered some years ago in the UK. The design dates from the 1930's and was produced at the Inwald Glass Works of Prague, Czechoslovakia.

The Vase is in Very Good preloved condition with a few minor scratches as a result of age and normal use.

Time passed and the glassware patterns made there were retired, but then were revived in the 1950's and 60's and then again in the 1990's, made from the original molds which had been retained. This vase presents characteristics that are commensurate with early production including high quality finish with mold seams well camouflaged in the embossed pattern and polished out at rim and foot.

The vase stands 9 ½" tall and is 7” in diameter. It weighs 3 pounds 12.8 ounces or 60.85 ounces or 1725 grams. See less
