This handcrafted Hagi-yaki ceramic tea bowl is made from high-iron stoneware with a textured white glaze. The glaze has a characteristic crawling effect, exposing areas of the rough, unglazed clay beneath. The bowl has an irregular, organic form with a four-legged base, adding to its handmade aesthetic. The underside bears a maker’s mark, impressed into the raw clay before firing. The bowl's color and texture will develop over time due to the porous nature of Hagi ware, which absorbs tea and subtly changes with use.
