A Very Fine and Rare Chinese Export Porcelain Famile Rose Platter Shaped Bowl, Circa 1790's
Canton or Nanking area of China, circa 1780-1800's
Nicely decorated Famile Rose serving bowl. Large oversized bowl in the shape of a platter. Unusual shape, and size for a serving bowl. Bright and clean glaze, with nice floral decorations, and a gold painted decorated edge.
Size: 14 1/4" wide, 11" deep, and 2 1/4" tall.
Condition: Excellent overall condition. No chips or cracks. The bowl rings when you tap the edge. Shiny glaze, and a very nice "orange peel" texture to the glaze on the porcelain. Minor wear loss to the edge decorations, and other scattered wear from age and use.
