Canton or Nanking, Circa 1800-1820

A pair of reticulated edge Chinese export porcelain plates, in a green Fitzhugh pattern, with monogrammed American eagles. The initials are B. L. L.

Highly unusual to see reticulated Fitzhugh china, and monogrammed with American eagles, makes them even more unusual.

These were made in the Canton or Nanking area of china, circa 1800-1820, specifically for the American market. They were bespoke made and glazed with the initials of the very first owner.

We have not been able to find the owner of the initials. Research is ongoing.

Size: 10" across, 1" tall.

Condition: the plates present well, with no chips of cracks. There is minor glaze wear, and some loss on the green decorations. Please DM for more pictures. See less
