Absolutely beautiful folding screen hand painted … Read more Original Signed Murata Yuin - Japanese Traditional Hand Painted Byobu Gold Leaf Folding Screen. Absolutely beautiful folding screen hand painted and signed by Murata Yuin with a gold leaf background. The frame is latticed bamboo and the screens are several layers of washi paper stretched over it and with a silk lace border around the painting. Screen was imported from Japan and has the stamp. This screen has had wall hanging brackets added to it so it can be used as a standing screen or hung on the wall as a decorative piece. Screen is in excellent condition with very minor wear and imperfections to the painted surface and the bamboo frame consistent with its age and use.
