A striking rendition in oil capturing the ephemeral beauty of poppies in bloom. Rich shades of orange, blue, and green were painted on board and then framed in a primative pine frame preserved with glass.
The painting is signed E. Fox and dated 1936. It is unclear if the frame is an original.
The piece has not been removed from the frame but no defects in the painting are noted.
The frame has a chip on the lower back corner and one at the top of the frame as photographed.
