The pair consists of: 1) a round tray with a … Read more Lovely 2-piece set of Italian Florentine gilded wood decorative accessories. The pair consists of: 1) a round tray with a green & white center medallion surrounded by a stylized garland and deeply scallopped edge; and 2) a handsome gold & white hinged box with a center hourglass shaped flourish edge in gold on the lid opening to a cream colored interior outlined in gold. Marks en verso include a sticker with the model "9868" & "Made in Italy" on the box; the tray has a similar sticker with a barely legible model "9016" and the rest of the label being illegible. No maker's marks can be discerned.

Dimensions: tray, 10"Dia; box, 6"W x 4"D x 2"H.

The box is in very good vintage condition with a clean interior, some surface wear. The tray is in fair condition with a chip as shown (at 7 o'clock position in photo). The wear is a testament to their age and evidence of previous enjoyment.
