An extraordinary one-of-a-kind dining suite combining the weight and drama of Brutalist design with the old-world character of Gothic and Jacobean Revival furniture.

The substantial rectangular dining table features a thick, steel-clad top believed to be constructed over a wood or composite core. It rests on two hollow architectural steel pedestals with stepped plinth bases. The steel has a beautifully variegated, hand-worked patina in smoky gunmetal, blue-black, muted bronze and subtle green tones. Best described as patinated or oxidized steel, the cloud-like mottling gives the surface remarkable depth and changes subtly with the light.

The table is accompanied by eight tall spindle-back dining armchairs. Each chair is solid and substantial and features turned posts, decorative balusters and rounded finials, finished in distressed black over an antiqued gilt-toned ground revealing warm, natural wood beneath, creating golden highlights throughout. Dark zippered seat cushions soften the chairs’ dramatic, throne-like silhouettes.

The result is bold, sculptural and wonderfully atmospheric—a striking choice for an industrial loft, mountain-modern home, Western lodge, Gothic-inspired dining room or richly layered eclectic interior.

The table’s irregular metal coloration and the chairs’ rubbed finish are integral to the character of the set. Additional marks and surface variation are consistent with previous use. Please examine the photographs closely for condition and finish details.
