Biography from Dobiaschofsky Auktionen, Bern
Henri Marcel Robert was born in 1881 Paris, France.
Robert attended the École des Arts Décoratifs and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 1897-1903.
Between 1904 and 1950 he worked as a drawing and painting teacher at the Technikum of Friborg.
His oeuvre includes still lifes, portraits and landscapes of his adopted country and regions in Valais.
Henri Marcel Robert passed away in 1961.
My research was quite time consuming as every time I researched the name Henry Robert, it would redirect me to Robert Henry or H. Roberts. This is a beautiful piece of art framed in a silverish frame. It is as detailed as one can get and with so much to see. In reviewing the auction results for this artist, it is noted that in 2012 one of his many paintings sold for $13,000 plus buyer fees.
