A petite French occasional table from the 19th century made of rosewood with ormolu mounts and a red marble top to project a taste for luxury in a compact design. The inset marble top is banded with brass over a curvaceous, scalloped rosewood apron. The table legs are ebonized and connect to a shaped rosewood shelf with brass branding. Decorative gilt bronze ormolu mounts are found throughout the table, typical of the Louis XV style, which add to the regal flair.
