This is a Chinese-style rectangular frame, masterfully carved from a dark, rich wood that features a deep, lustrous patina. The frame is characterized by an intricate "floating" inner border design, where delicate openwork galleries of stylized, interlocking scrolls and ruyi motifs connect the outer structural frame to the central window.
At the top of each piece sits a decorative metal hanging mount, fashioned into an auspicious cloud shape, which adds a subtle gleam against the dark wood.
