Hand forged in France circa 1920, the rectangular fixture features an openwork flat-bottom frame embellished with intricate scrolling ironwork, graceful volutes, and recessed corners, reflecting traditional French craftsmanship.

The chandelier is fitted with eight lights arranged around the perimeter, each resting on a circular iron bobeche and dressed with its original aged wooden candle sleeve. The rectangular frame is suspended from four heavy iron chains connected to two upper chains and a horizontal crown bar, creating a distinctive architectural silhouette. The combination of bold iron construction and delicate scrollwork gives the fixture a wonderful balance of rustic character and refined decoration.

The Louis XV-inspired chandelier retains its original dark patinated iron finish, highlighting the hand-forged details and beautifully aged surface. The eight-light fixture has been newly wired to US standards and is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use.

Ideal for hanging over a large kitchen island, farmhouse dining table, or refectory table, this substantial chandelier would complement a French country or Provençal interior. Decorative hooks could also be added for hanging pots and pans.

Included: A canopy, loop, and chain, each color-matched to the fixture.
