This desk is … Read more Stunning medium sized writing desk model 530 designed by Gianfranco Frattini and manufactured by Bernini, Italy 1957. This desk is made of nicely grained rosewood and cherrywood veneer and has its optional storage unit on top which makes this desk look amazing and makes it more functional as well. It has 2 drawers and an open storage unit in the middle, on the top of the desk there is a storage unit with tambour doors with shelves and drawers behind. The desk is complete with its original keys as well. The desk is in very good condition with normal wear from age and usage. The wood has an amazing grain, especially on the top. It has a deep reddish glaze which is unusual, classic but also very modern in every way. Gianfranco Frattini was one of the more important designers from the Italian mid century, with many progressive and renewing designs. His work was aesthetically and constructionally always in balance. Making the pieces highly wanted back in the days, but also at this moment. The designs he made for Bernini in the 1950s are timeless and still perfect to daily use. We love these series and always have something from these series in our collection. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
