Then perhaps the fabulous pendant fob is for you? It surely wasn’t made for you, but for some other Sarah who lived almost two hundred years ago. I wonder how many Sarah’s it’s belonged to since?

This wonderful fob consists of a smooth slice of carnelian with the name “Sarah” carved into a wreath in gothic script. Can you imagine her? Dripping wax onto a letter and marking it with her name? The stone measures 15.5x12 mm at the face and overall is 41 mm high including the split ring and 18.2x14.8 mm across at the face, it weighs 9.4 grams. We’ve acid tested this lovely piece as 15 karat gold. This wonderful fob was made in England in about 1820. See less
