With its architectural silhouette and intricate ironwork, the fixture is particularly well suited for hanging over a kitchen island, dining table, or long refectory table.

The elongated chandelier features an openwork gallery decorated with intricate scrolling iron motifs around the perimeter. Each corner is embellished with a gilt floral rosette medallion, adding a refined contrast to the dark iron structure. Eight evenly spaced torch-shaped candle lights rise from the rectangular frame, each fitted with a decorative faux candle sleeve and scalloped bobeche.

The original suspension system features double chains on each side, connected to circular iron rings and joined by a horizontal twisted iron crossbar. The chains converge at a large central ring, creating a distinctive triangular architectural arrangement that complements the Gothic Revival design.

The antique French chandelier has been newly wired to US standards and is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. The heavy wrought iron fixture retains a rich black patinated finish accented with gilt decorative details.

Included are a canopy, loop, and chain, all color-matched to the fixture.
