HEAVY DUTY PAD LOCK. OVERALL SIZE 2 1/2" X 4.5” when lock is open 2 1/2” x 4” when locked. RARE TO FIND WITH ORIGINAL KEY. You will not see or find another comparable on the internet or anywhere especially in such a fine condition and with the original key.

Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Local Station lock made by the F. S. HDW.COM with a B&O marked key is marked B & O R. R. Co on one side and on the other side "S" and F-S HDW. CO They are a both heavy solid brass and work perfectly together.

THE KEY is stamped B&O and dates to approximately the 1915 - 1930 era. This interesting key is longer than usual -- approximately 2-3/8 inches total length. We have heard the extra long barrel was made specifically for cold weather use, so the railroad worker could operate the lock with gloves on. I'm not sure if this is really true, but have to admit that it makes sense as well as a good story.
