Each one is … Read more Set of four lithographs, circa 1940s, of various plants with their Latin names printed under the plant. Each one is framed and matted with complimentary color schemes. Perfect for many homes, and would look lovely in the kitchen! The frames are made from metal that has been painted. One frame is a little loose, but I will do my best to repair it prior to shipping. The prints are behind glass. The paper shows some minor signs of aging but, considering their age, I’d say they are in good condition. Only very slight signs of yellowing. These must have been protected from direct sunlight during their lifetime.

I’d say these four framed lithographs are ready to hang, even with the age. To me, it only adds charm and character that new things don’t have. With that said, having them reframed and matted in something new would probably help keep them looking great for many many years to come with the new technology used in the framing and matting process.
