A beautiful set of Vladimir Kagan model #6724 sled based 'Cubist' chairs, circa 1967 New York. These dining armchairs feature walnut frames in an angular geometric form.
*Note, we have 6 armchairs available, priced in this listing as pairs. We also have a pair of matching side chairs also available in another listing.
Designed in 1967, this set presumably very early examples as they have the rare slightly rounded scalloped back vs the flat ones commonly found. It's worth noting that documentation suggests these chairs may have served as prototypes, further enhancing their historical significance. Additionally, they are famously associated with the 'Nobu' nickname, stemming from their prominent use by architect Michael Gabellini at Giorgio Armani's Nobu restaurant in Milan.
This opulent pair of 6724 Sled Based Cubis dining arm chairs by Vladimir Kagan would look amazing in a Postmodern, Memphis, Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Contemporary, Traditional, Transitional, Neoclassical, Hollywood Regency, or Mixed Style home or office. This beautiful set of side chairs can be used together or individually throughout the home in locations such as a dining room, living room, den, games room, office space, entryway or bedroom. They would also be perfect in a hospitality or corporate location, such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium.
