The Printed Label Attached Reads as Follows - KUMFORT WATER VEST - KAPOK FILLED - APPROVED BY THE STEAMSHIP INSPECTORS DEPT OF COMMERCE - KUMFORT MANUFACTURING CO. BOSTON MASS. It is Hand Made Out of Tufted Sewn Canvas Cloth Stuffed with the Early Flotation Material Known as "KAPOK". The Exterior is Quite Salt Air Aged & Weathered with Some Staining Giving it Great Authentic Old Rustic Look - Would Make a Wonderful & Unique Rustic Nautical Decorator Item. It has a Few Imperfections ( Torn Cloth - Exposed Kapok Stuffing ) at The Shoulders Area. I Purchased This Piece in the Down East Coastal Maine Region.
