a signed vintage 1950s Mid Century novelty ceramic lidded candy dish from Italy.
this handmade ceramic round shaped dish with lid has a beautiful novelty hand painted horses and carriage and lantern scene. the light of the lantern is raised above the lid.
the bottom of the bowl has a blue turquoise glossy glaze.
the interior has a white glossy glaze.
signed and numbered on the bottom : 239/443 Italy
Design attributed to Raymor Bitossi , or Rosenthal Netter
a beautiful decorative bowl for display ,or perfect catch all, jewelry box , candy etc.
in very good vintage condition, there are two repairs at the bottom rim of the lid, see close up last picture. no other flaws to mention.
