Rare style of antique glass apothecary jars in a set of six includes: Peroxide, Hair Tonic, Ammonia, Bath Salts, Boric Acid, and Bicarb. Soda with red lettering and red and gold trim on the bottles and their stoppers.
Some jars marked with "patented 12-11-17" stickers on bottom
Dimensions (including stoppers):
Peroxide, hair tonic and ammonia measure 2 1/2” deep x 2” wide x 4 3/4” tall
Bath salts and boric acid measure 3 1/2” deep x 2 3/4” wide x 3 1/4” tall
Bicarb. soda measures 4” deep 3 1/2” wide x 5” tall
Jars overall are in good antique condition with normal signs of wear and age. Two of the jars have easily obscured damages, a larger chip on the lid of the ammonia jar and a small cracked hole on the back bottom corne. The bath salts jar has a small chip on the inside of the stopper which is presently stuck and we have not attempted to unstick it.
The set has some scratching and wear to the trim and lettering, but it is still pretty bold and solid. There is some fading on the letters but overall and considering they are 100 years old, pretty vibrant.
