The bottle has an applied handle and "J.H. Henkes Defltshaven" incised label to front. Circa mid to late 19th century.
Lovely character from handmade irregularities and the wear of time. Would make a lovely vase, and pairs beautifully with other stoneware pieces.

J. H. Henkes was a Dutch distillery that began production in 1824. It is unclear when production ceased; however the Henkes name is still in use under trademark. See less
