This RARE Stunning 1932 Rookwood Squeeze Bag Vase, model #6314, has a Coromandel Glaze beautifully offset with gunmetal drips.
The glaze has an eclectic blend of burnt umber and ruby red shadings. Markings on the vase bottom include the Logo, Date (1932) in Roman Numerals, and shape (6314).
The Rookwood Pottery Company has a fascinating history. It was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1880 by Maria Longworth Storer. Rookwood made history by being the first large manufacturing enterprise founded and owned by a woman in the United States, and were pivotal in launching the art pottery movement in America.
The vase is in Like New condition with NO chips, cracks, or crazing.
