This oil on canvas is after the ceiling fresco in the Barberini Palace executed by Pietro Da Cortona (1597-1669) and assistants during the years from 1632-1639. The fresco is called “The Triumph of Divine Providence and the Fulfilment of its Purposes under Pope Urban VIII.” This is a copy that was most likely done sometime during the late 17th or 18th century.

Condition: Heavily worn with signs of losses and repairs and damages to the canvas.
