An excellent First Edition period antique full-color print by Mortimer Menpes after painting "Titus in a Red Cap and Gold Chain" by Rembrandt. Printed on one side. Hand tipped-in on a board of heavy paper. Published in London in 1905. Superb quality. Excellent condition - minor edge wear, never framed.
Second copy of this print has a crease at the lower right corner.
Mortimer Menpes was an Australian-born famous English artist, author, printmaker, illustrator, interior designer and member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours and Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
